Grandparents' Day- September 11, 2009

SES celebrated Grandparents' Day by inviting our grandparents to spend the morning with our classes. We had a great turnout! We shared cards and stories with our grandparents and then treated them to a Power Point Presentation about how much they mean to us.

AR STAR!

Congratulations to Abby Livingston for making both her nine weeks and semester AR goals in the third week of school with a total of 42.9 points. WOW Abby!! I think I see a Biscuits game in her future.

The fourth grade goals for this school year are 14 points per grading period (nine weeks) and 30 points per semester. The cut off date for the first nine weeks is October 9, 2009. The semester cut off is December 11, 2009.

Field Trip!!!

Today our fourth graders got a real treat. We were invited to the Missoula Children's Theatre production of The Pied Piper. The Missoula Children's Theatre tours the world putting on plays with children as the cast members. The most exciting thing about today's play was that FOUR of our very own classmates were actors in the performance! Students auditioned on Monday afternoon, rehearsed all week long, and put on an outstanding performance this morning for all of the fourth graders in the county. Here we are in the audience.

The acting, singing, dancing, costumes, and scenery were great.

We are SOOOO PROUD of everyone in the play!

After the play, we enjoyed a picnic lunch at the local park. It was HOT, but we had a great time.

First Day of Fourth Grade: August 10, 2009

We had a great first day of school! Students were thrilled to be reacquainted with one another after a short, but relaxing summer vacation. One of the most exciting things about fourth grade this year, is the fact that students change classes and have lockers. It's going to take a lot of hard work and responsibility to keep up with work for 4 different teachers, but thankfully we have our Homework planners, Daily Tiger Tidbits, and classroom homework pages to help keep us organzied. Our first day of fourth grade was FABULOUS!
